Business Development Specialist (BDS)

Summary:

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a member of the Corporate Business Development team. The BDS is in constant communication with the Managing Partners of each division and is responsible for supporting the entire business development process. The BDS is expected to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the BD team and be a high energy individual. We expect this person to be positive, proactive and solutions focused. This role is ideal for someone who comes from a production based background, who is an excellent communicator, has a sales background, thrives at multitasking, is resilient and has a strong work ethic. You will receive exposure to all aspects of AIS’s Corporate, Flex Recruiting Services and Virtual Support Administrative business and clients, gaining valuable skills to build your resume.

This job is a contract, hybrid remote option based position. This is a quota driven position that will provide an initial base during the first three months of your ramp period and then will go to 100 percent commission and bonus incentive.

Duties:

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market with a “hunter” mentality
  • Stay up to date with our business models and pricing
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, social media and meetings
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Maintaining and reporting data from Salesforce
  • Meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Prepare and submit SOW’s and client contracts
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Develop and maintain business development projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • 2 professional references from direct managers in a sales position
  • 2+ years experience in B2B sales in the service industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Tech Savvy including advanced level experience in Salesforce and Google Suite
  • Prepare a robust sales presentation as a part of the final interview stage
  • Must currently possess or will obtain an LLC
  • Travel as necessary to potential client sites
  • Be in office (Baltimore headquarters) one day per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cockeysville, MD 21030
