We are seeking a Household Manager to support our family of six. This opportunity will encompass a wide range of responsibility. This includes: personal assistant support to the parents who own several small international businesses, childcare as needed for four children (ages 5, 8, 10, 11), household project coordination, cooking and housekeeping.

This role came about as a result of being a very busy international family who in addition to having multiple businesses does a lot of entertaining, traveling, is in phase 3 of a 6 phase home renovation and needs to keep the kids as our number one priority through it all. The support has evolved from originally a very part time babysitter to hiring a part time personal assistant and now with the launch of new businesses this year and kids activity schedules becoming more intense, a need for a true full time household manager.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience in childcare, administrative work, event planning, project coordination and housekeeping. They will have a high energy personality blended with an incredible work ethic, street smarts and all around grit. This role is not for anyone who is overly sensitive as we move at the speed of light and expect anyone who works with us to keep up and handle the pressure. They will also need to have incredible organization skills (the Mom is organization obsessed), be able to multi-task all the time (there is no down time during work hours), be a proactive communicator, solution focused, strong time manager, flexible, adaptable on the fly, humble (egos checked at the door) and follow instructions precisely.

In addition to the specific duties listed below we will need someone who is able to live with us at our beach house near Fenwick Island this summer for several weeks between June to September. Normally this role is out of our family home in Cockeysville, MD and is not a live-in position but due to the next phase of construction we will be living at our beach house in between traveling. The Mom is big into planning seasonally so a schedule will be provided in advance of every season.

This position is 40 hours per week, hourly with benefits, paid on the 15th and 30th of each month direct deposit and will be provided a W2 at the end of the year. The specific hours worked will be addressed on a month-month basis but normally Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 7:30pm. There will be evening and weekend support needed on occasion but with advanced notice.

Requirements:

  • Highschool Diploma and additional higher education in the form or training, coursework or degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of professional administrative experience
  • Minimum 2 year of professional childcare experience
  • Minimum 1 year of professional project coordination experience
  • Minimum of 5 professional references who were direct supervisors who can provide feedback on each area of required experience
  • Proficient in ALL forms of technology including devices and google suite; tech savvy preferred
  • Ability to perform ongoing physical requirements of cleaning including but not limited to lifting up to 50lbs
  • Within a 30 minute drive to Cockeysville, MD
  • Ability to be live in support during the summer and as needed for childcare
  • Valid driver’s license with personal vehicle that is properly insured; drivers record will be pulled
  • Disclosure- a criminal background investigation will be run and anyone who has committed any kind of violent offense or has a history of theft or fraud will not be considered.
